Erdemir, the parent company of OYAK Mining Metallurgy and one of our country’s most valuable industrial assets, was established in 1960 with a special law in order to produce flat steel, which was needed by the Turkish industry and was not produced in our country. Erdemir produces plate, hot and cold rolled sheet metal and tin, chrome and zinc coated sheet metal at international quality standards; It continues to provide basic input to sectors such as automotive, white goods, pipe profiles, rolling mills, general manufacturing, electrical-electronics, machinery, energy, heating equipment, shipbuilding, defense and packaging.

While the improvement points in the employees’ experiences were determined with the personas and journey maps created in line with the interviews and analysis of the surveys with Oyak mine employees, all processes were experienced from the employees’ eyes.
Feedback received from employees was reviewed and analyzed.

Persona study was done. Persona cards were designed by analyzing the findings.
Journey Map study was carried out. Easy-to-understand journey maps were created according to user needs and requirements.
Idea development workshops were organized. Persona & Journey map outputs were presented and suggestions were developed together with Oyak Maden employees.
Wireframe design suggestions were presented. Improvement and tool suggestions were developed on the ERP panel in line with the correlation diagram, Persona and journey maps. Suggestions were presented via low-fidelity wireframes.
